How It Works
1. Connect your channel — or several
Connect your YouTube channel so scores can be personalized to you — your subscriber count and engagement become the baseline every keyword is measured against. Run more than one channel? Connect them all and switch between them from the header; keywords, scores, and rank history are scoped to whichever channel is active. Connecting also runs an automatic profile audit — mechanical checks that your handle, bio, and channel keywords are set up to be found in search.
2. Search a keyword
In Keyword check, type any keyword. tuner.social fetches the live search results and computes a personalized difficulty score for your channel, plus the search intent and dominant format read from what actually ranks — including the format nobody is serving yet.
3. Read the score
You get a 0–100 difficulty score and a band — Winnable, Moderate, or Tough — plus an explainability panel showing how you compare to the top-ranking videos on each factor (authority, engagement, freshness, format). Lower scores are easier to win.
4. Score your draft before you publish
Paste a draft title and caption into Score your draft to run your pre-publish checklist: is the keyword in the caption naturally (no stuffing — over-optimizing lowers the score), does the title state the topic, are the hashtags in range? Factor-by-factor feedback, before you hit publish.
5. Track what matters
Found a keyword worth pursuing? Track it. Tracked keywords show up in your Rank Tracker, which re-checks it on your plan's schedule (weekly on Free and Starter, daily on Pro and Agency) so you can watch your position move over time — the position trend is built from your real measured ranks.
6. Tell us if a score feels off
Each score has a quick 👍 / 👎. That feedback is how we calibrate the algorithm against real creator judgment before we lock it in.
