How It Works

1. Enter a channel handle​

Paste any YouTube channel handle (e.g. @mkbhd) into the search bar. Social Tuner resolves it to a channel profile.

2. We analyze the channel's keyword landscape​

Social Tuner pulls the channel's top videos and extracts the keywords they rank for. Each keyword is scored for:

  • Search volume — how many people search for it monthly
  • Competition — how many videos are competing for that term
  • Difficulty — a composite score combining volume and competition

3. You get a viability score​

The channel receives an overall viability score that reflects how achievable it is for a new creator to break into that niche today.

Scores range from Easy to Very Hard, with a numeric breakdown so you can compare channels side by side.

4. Use it to decide​

  • Score is Easy or Medium → the niche has room. Worth pursuing.
  • Score is Hard or Very Hard → the niche is saturated. Consider an adjacent angle or a different channel type.
